About La Forketta
La Forketta is an Italian Restaurant owned from Lara and Max, a italian couple from Milan, that arrived here straight from Italy and opened this little italian restaurant. Chef Max, born and raised in Milan, has Calabrian origins on his maternal side and Marche origins on his paternal grandparents. This union allowed him to touch all the flavors of Italy starting from the north (Milan), going to the center (Marche) and arriving at the south (Calabria)

Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 12β3 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (754) 222-8059. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is laforkettamenu.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 655 reviews, which is a strong result for an italian restaurant in Pompano Beach and suggests consistent service.

Husband and I have been here over the years. We enjoy the food as it is pretty good. Typically the owner is there and experience is always great. Super attentive and friendly. Today we did not see the owner and two waitress took care of us. Letβs say they were not pleasant, not rude but also not friendly. I typically have a bottle of wine but today I wanted to start with an aperol before getting my wine. Never did the waitress come back after our food was served to ask if we needed anything else to drink after our glasses were empty. I say this so that the owner can be aware. It was not busy at all but I did not feel welcome like i usually do. We will try again, and hope that service is better because I do like their food.

Wow! What a lovely hidden gem! We had lunch here and Anna and Jonathan were amazing. The food was amazing. We got the prosciutto app and a margherita pizza. Out of this world.

Great restaurant however there are a few caveats. The still water is unmistakably tap water. This was an unpleasant start to my lunch however I dismissed it. I had the Cacio E Pepe which was wonderfully seasoned, very cheesy and steaming hot just like I love it! I do wish the bread they served at the table was not ice cold, it would make the experience much more pleasurable.

We celebrated a birthday at Forketta in Pompano Beach, and I can confidently say this was one of the most memorable dining experiences weβve ever had. From the moment we walked in, Lara, Alessandro, and their incredible team treated us like royaltyβtruly like sultans. Even though the restaurant was completely packed, the atmosphere felt warm, intimate, and welcomingβ¦ like being invited into a beautiful Italian villa surrounded by family. Every dish told a story. The seafood transported us straight to a cozy cabin along the Italian Rivieraβfresh, comforting, and full of soul. The chicken cotoletta was unbelievably delicate and perfectly prepared. And the carbonara disappeared so fast while my husband was enjoying his birthday meal that I barely got a second lookβthatβs how good it was. And the wineβ¦ WOW. I have never enjoyed a better wine than what we had last night. Lara personally selected it for us, and it was absolute perfectionβelevating every single bite and making the entire experience even more magical. To top it all off, they surprised us with a cheesecake and sang βHappy Birthdayβ in Italian, which made the night even more special and unforgettable. This experience wa

We had theater tickets in Ft Lauderdale and live in West Delray, so I asked my brother who lives in Ft Lauderdale for a recommendation for a restaurant. La Forketta is a small storefront restaurant where you enter thru a separate pizza and sandwich shop who has a different owner. Seats only about 40 people. Very attentive wait staff. Nice menu with a large daily special menu. The prices are very reasonable. Since we were eating at 6, we only ordered entrees, my wife chose the Eggplant Parmesan, huge portion with a side of pasta, very good. I opted for the Linguine Seafood with Calamari, shrimps, octopus, garlic, tomato, and parsley. Very good but a little light o0n the seafood. Definitely will return.
